18 Best GPT Sites and Apps to Earn Cash, Gift Cards, and More

We’ve compiled 18 of our favorite GPT sites and apps for earning money, gift cards, crypto, and other rewards online so that you can start earning from the comfort of your own home—or anywhere else you want.

Most platforms on this list have websites for internet browsers plus dedicated apps. However, some platforms may have only apps (with no website for internet browsers) or only have apps for certain types of devices (i.e., only Android apps or only iOS apps for iPads, iPhones, etc.); other platforms may have only a web-based version with no apps for mobile devices.

1. Scrambly

Scrambly focuses on games as a way to earn. You can also get paid for surveys and a few other small tasks, but the surveys are available only after you complete your Scrambly profile and get your first payout (so you’ll have to play some games or complete other tasks before you can earn through surveys).

It’s currently a favorite among microtaskers, who enjoy the platform’s low redemption threshold, quick payout, and good customer support. It also offers a $0.50 signup bonus, which isn’t much, but nonetheless is a nice boost to get you started.

Scrambly has the notable advantage of a low $1 minimum threshold for payouts, meaning it’s easy to reach the redemption threshold. The platform also guarantees instant payouts, whereas many others take much longer to deliver your cash or gift cards.

If you like the sound of those quick rewards, start earning via the Scrambly web (browser) version or their mobile app for Android users. Unfortunately, there’s no app for iOS users, but you might be able to download certain iOS (Apple) games for testing via the Scrambly website.

2. Freecash

Freecash promises users can “earn free cash within minutes” by taking surveys, signing up for offers, and testing games as well as other types of apps.

A quick search on online side hustle communities will tell you that Freecash is legit and has many loyal users. This is likely due to its broad selection of tasks, decent payout, and straightforward user experience, which many users cite. An edge Freecash has over Scrambly is its higher signup bonus (currently $5).

Like Scrambly, Freecash only has a desktop version of the website or an Android app with no iOS app available (but you might be able to use its web browser version to test certain iOS games, too).

As for the threshold for Freecash withdrawals, this will vary depending on several factors (e.g., your region, your withdrawal method, and whether it’s your first time cashing out).

3. Mistplay

Mistplay is a GPT app you can use to earn real cash and get gift cards by playing games.

Again, we picked this app as one of our top recommendations due to its relatively low redemption threshold, solid payout, and good reviews. An earning tip from users is to focus on playing games that are “boosted,” which they say will be tagged with a small but clear icon.

Mistplay features a broad variety of games, including puzzles like Words with Friends and old favorites like Solitaire and Merge Dragons. You have to download games via the Mistplay app to accumulate Mistplay points (or “Units”) while you play.

Once you reach the redemption threshold, which is relatively low at $5 (although some redemption methods may require more), Mistplay has options to redeem via gift cards or cash (in the form of prepaid cards or PayPal cash).

4. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is one of the most famous GPT or microtasking platforms around. It was established in 2008 and is run by the company Prodege, which also runs InboxDollars (another popular platform on this list).

Swagbucks features surveys and other tasks you can complete to earn points (where Swagbucks points are called “SB”). Surveys will usually be among the most lucrative tasks available, but there are many more ways to earn, including games, offer signups, app downloads, online searches, and more.

In addition, Swagbucks rewards users for purchases they make through the platform or for scanning receipts from previous purchases. This means it can double up as a cash-back app or receipt-scanning app.

You can use Swagbucks via a website for internet browsers or via dedicated apps for either Android or iOS devices.

5. InboxDollars

InboxDollars is another GPT platform from Prodege and has a lot in common with its sister platform, Swagbucks, featuring mostly the same types of tasks (although InboxDollars is even older, as it was established in 2000).

As with Swagbucks, surveys are among the most lucrative tasks on InboxDollars, but there are additional earning opportunities, including offer signups, games, receipt-scanning, and more.

As with Swagbucks, you can use InboxDollars via the web version for internet browsers or via dedicated apps for either Android or iOS devices.

6. KashKick

KashKick is a GPT platform with opportunities to get paid for surveys, games, offers, and other tasks. It has apps for Android and iOS mobile devices as well as a website for normal internet browsers.

However, the platform has a couple of downsides, including a relatively high redemption threshold of $10 for all withdrawals (whereas some other platforms we’ve seen require only $1–$5 for most withdrawals). As such, it may take you longer to cash out on KashKick—although the $1 signup bonus it offers for new users is a bit of a help the first time around.

Another downside of KashKick is that it offers only one withdrawal method: PayPal credit. Many other platforms have alternatives such as virtual prepaid cards and gift cards, so KashKick is comparatively limited in this respect.

However, this may not matter to you if PayPal is usually your preferred payment method.

7. Branded Surveys

Branded Surveys is simpler than the GPT platforms we’ve seen so far, as it focuses on surveys and daily polls. It doesn’t feature games, offer signups, app downloads, or other types of tasks.

Although Branded Surveys lacks variety, one major point in its favor is its low $5 threshold for cashing out (plus a $1 signup bonus to get you started), which makes it easy to reach the minimum amount required for withdrawals and claim your rewards.

When the time comes to withdraw, there are several ways to do this, including via bank transfers, PayPal cash, gift cards, and charity donations.

You can use Branded Surveys via apps (for Android and iOS devices) or a web-based version for internet browsers.

8. Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie, like Branded Surveys, focuses on surveys and doesn’t feature games, offer signups, app downloads, or many of the other tasks available on similar GPT and microtasking platforms.

You can also get extra rewards via the Survey Junkie browser extension, which allows you to use Survey Junkie as a passive earning platform. To earn in this way, you can join Survey Junkie’s “Surf to Earn” community, and keep the extension active to reap points automatically as you browse online.

Survey Junkie says that you can also participate in Surf to Earn by opting in via the Survey Junkie app, although we didn’t test this. Survey Junkie has apps for both Android and iOS devices in addition to a normal website.

Like Branded Surveys, Survey Junkie has a low redemption threshold of $5 and a small signup bonus to kickstart your earnings (although it may be lower than Branded Surveys’ welcome bonus, as we only got $0.85 when we joined Survey Junkie). These features make it easier to accumulate the amount you need to cash out.

9. Prime Opinion

Prime Opinion is another platform that focuses mainly on surveys and, again, doesn’t feature other tasks like games or offers (although you can also earn by referring friends to use it). You can use this platform via your internet browser or via dedicated mobile apps (available for iOS and Android devices).

A major selling point for Prime Opinion is that you should be able to cash out your rewards relatively fast. According to the website, you can do this in as little as 17 minutes. 1

Also, one unusual feature of the platform is that, for your first withdrawal, you can choose between different bonus amounts coupled with different minimum redemption amounts, meaning that your signup bonus depends on the redemption threshold you choose.

For example, we opted for the lowest possible redemption threshold of $5, and this came with the lowest possible signup bonus of $1. Picking a low redemption threshold makes it easier to get your rewards fast.

When we tried Prime Opinion, we were able to get our rewards in less than 3 hours, and we had a relatively positive experience with the platform, overall, as we found it to be among the more lucrative online survey opportunities we tried.

10. Ipsos iSay

Ipsos iSay is run by Ipsos, which is a global market research and consulting firm headquartered in Paris. This is yet another platform that focuses on surveys as a way to earn, and doesn’t feature other tasks like games or offers (although there are occasional contests you can enter to win gift cards and possibly other rewards).

Like Survey Junkie and Branded Surveys, Ipsos iSay has a redemption threshold of $5—a pretty low barrier that makes it easier to cash out faster (which we were able to do within about 3 hours when we tested the platform ourselves).

Unlike the aforementioned platforms, however, Ipsos iSay doesn’t give you a signup bonus, so it might not be at the front of the queue when you’re deciding which survey websites and apps to join.

If you still ultimately decide to use Ipsos iSay, you can do so via a website for internet browsers or via apps for either Android or iOS devices.

11. Toluna Influencers

Toluna Influencers, formerly known as just Toluna, has been around since 2000 and claims to have 21 million users in 50 countries. It focuses primarily on surveys but also features a poll, a few games, and some other tasks.

Toluna Influencers includes a website for in-browser use and apps for both iOS and Android devices. One downside of this platform is that the threshold for cashing out is on the higher side at $10, meaning that it will potentially take a bit more work before you can redeem your rewards (which you can do via PayPal, gift cards, or charity donations).

Another bothersome feature is a potentially long wait to receive your rewards, as Toluna Influencers says that, for most of the redemption options, your rewards will take 1–3 weeks to come through.

12. YouGov

YouGov is a market research company based in the UK. However, it accepts signups from the US and many other countries around the world.

YouGov allows you to earn cash or gift cards with polls on politics, public affairs, products, brands, and many other topics. The YouGov website says that its short, simple surveys pay around $3–$10 (depending on how you redeem the points you earn).

One downside of this platform is that you need $15 worth of rewards (25,000 points) to redeem—which is on the higher side compared with many other platforms we’ve seen—meaning that it may take you longer to reach the YouGov redemption threshold.

However, you can speed things up with the passive earning opportunities YouGov offers, which involve tracking your use of apps and internet browsing activity on your device. To earn rewards in this way, you must join the YouGov Pulse market research study. As a bonus, you may be able to earn yet more points by referring friends if YouGov provides you with a referral link.

YouGov has apps (for both Android and iOS devices) in addition to a website for use with internet browsers.

13. Cash Giraffe

Cash Giraffe is an Android-only app from JustDice that’s primarily for earning with games, although you’ll likely find surveys and other tasks, too.

Cash Giraffe doesn’t guarantee a signup bonus on its Google Play listing, but many users report online that they received these bonuses. The Cash Giraffe redemption threshold is not stated and may depend on various factors. However, it will probably be low enough that you can pretty quickly earn enough to cash out.

When the time comes to claim your earnings, Cash Giraffe promises “amazing rewards,” including gift cards, discounts, and money payouts from top brands like:

14. Money Well

Money Well is another JustDice app, and has mostly the same features as Cash Giraffe. It features arcade games, adventure games, casual games, strategic games, and many more types of games you can play to earn rewards (with surveys and other tasks also likely available, although these aren’t the main focus).

Again, you’ll likely notice a lot of overlap between Money Well and Cash Giraffe, with Money Well also promising the same “amazing rewards” (i.e., gift cards, discounts, and money payouts from PayPal, Amazon, etc.).

In terms of signup bonuses and redemption thresholds, Money Well doesn’t confirm anything on its Google Play listing or website. As with Cash Giraffe, reports online suggest that you’ll get a small signup bonus and benefit from a low redemption threshold, meaning you can cash out sooner rather than later—a major plus with these gaming platforms.

15. Prolific

Prolific is a survey site that focuses only on surveys and doesn’t feature games, offers, or other microtasks. It’s available only as a web-based version for internet browsers, with no apps for mobile devices.

On Prolific, you can’t simply choose the surveys you want. Instead, you have to wait to be invited for surveys via email (according to the studies that your profile matches).

However, Prolific also has more earning promise than many other platforms out there, as it guarantees a rate of at least $8 per hour, which exceeds what we earned during our testing of many similar websites and apps. To cash out on Prolific, you need at least $6, which is a relatively easy threshold to reach.

Prolific is limited in terms of redemption options, as it pays only via PayPal (via Hyperwallet, which is a payment platform owned by PayPal). However, it’s a great option for anyone who wants to get paid instantly via PayPal for surveys, as the Prolific website says PayPal payments should arrive within 24 hours or, typically, much sooner.

16. AttaPoll

AttaPoll is an app you can use on Android and iOS devices to earn money with surveys and games. It doesn’t have a website, so you can only use it with mobile devices.

According to AttaPoll’s App Store listing, people who regularly use the app for surveys earn around $3 per week. AttaPoll also promises fast cashouts, as you only need $3 to get paid, and you’ll likely be able to choose from multiple payment options, including PayPal and gift cards from popular retailers.

17. Cointiply

Cointiply dubs itself a “super-charged Bitcoin faucet.” Bitcoin faucets are websites you can use to get small amounts of Bitcoin (or other cryptocurrencies), so these are similar to other microtasking or GPT platforms, except that payments are in cryptocurrency.

Instead of the usual cash or gift card payments, Cointiply offers rewards in the form of cryptocurrency (including Bitcoin, DOGE, Dash, and LTC).

You can use this platform via a website or Android app—although there’s no iOS version—to earn by playing games, taking surveys, watching videos, and completing offers (which may involve visiting websites or clicking on links, for example).

18. Rewarded Play

The last platform on our list is Rewarded Play. This is another games-focused app that will pay you to play several classic games, such as solitaire, mahjong, Wheel of Fortune, and Yahtzee. It’s available only as an Android app for mobile devices (with no iOS app or desktop version available).

This GPT app is a bit different from other platforms on this list in that it only pays via gift cards, with no options to redeem rewards via cash (or crypto).

Nonetheless, it may be worth considering for those who want a quick payout, as you’ll only need to reach the relatively low redemption threshold of $5 to make your first withdrawal, and Rewarded Play claims that new users typically reach this goal in about 48 hours.

Follow these tips to earn more rewards with GPT platforms and avoid the common pitfalls they can present:

• Answer survey questions honestly: If you are using surveys to earn rewards (which can be a good strategy given that these are among the most lucrative microtasks available), bear in mind that many providers will monitor your responses to ensure you’re not clicking randomly or giving contradictory answers. If you do this, you can get kicked out of surveys or even completely banned from platforms.
• Watch out for fees: GPT platforms won’t usually charge you fees to redeem rewards, but this can happen occasionally. Check the terms and conditions of any platforms you use to avoid getting caught out.
• Manage your expectations: Don’t expect to earn substantial amounts with GPT platforms. We’ve tested many of the sites and apps on this list, and our experience suggests that you can expect to earn just a few dollars per hour at most, so this strategy isn’t a good substitute for a regular job or side hustle.
• Look for signup bonuses: Many GPT and microtasking apps and websites will give you a welcome bonus immediately after you sign up as a new user. These amounts will usually be between a few cents and a few dollars and, in general, a large signup bonus will mean that you have to accumulate more rewards before you can redeem.
• Multitask GPT platforms with other earning strategies: GPT apps and websites are a flexible side hustle you can easily combine with other earning strategies (e.g., pet sitting or waiting for rideshare requests) to boost your overall earnings. You can also use GPT platforms while you’re busy with everyday activities like commuting or queuing at the supermarket.
• Watch out for scams: The platforms on our list are legit, but there are other scams designed to steal your money or personal information, so be careful. Before you use an app or website, check reviews (e.g., on Trustpilot, the App Store, or the Google Play Store) along with the platform’s terms and conditions.
