About Me
Katie is a classically trained personal chef and the owner of Chef Katie Simmons, which she founded in 2013. Based in Chicago, she caters to people with special dietary needs, including vegans and clients with celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, and all types of food allergies. She was named #1 Personal Chef on Thumbtack in 2015 and 2016.
In addition to catering, she leads in-home cooking classes and blogs about her recipes and food inspirations on Plants Rule. She has an associate’s degree in culinary arts from Kendall College and a Plant-Based Nutrition Certification from T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
