10 Sites That Offer Paid Medical Surveys for Doctors, Nurses, and Patients

Overview: MedSurvey is an online market research company that recruits healthcare professionals for paid surveys.

Once you create an account with them, you’ll be invited to participate in surveys you’re eligible for and get the chance to win monthly prizes.

They tailor their surveys to suit healthcare workers with particular specialties. Exactly how much you’ll be able to work (and how much you can earn) depends on how many surveys you qualify for.

User reports: Anecdotal reports from users claiming to work with MedSurvey are generally positive, although many state that it’s hard finding surveys they’re eligible for.

MedSurvey’s rates are quite good compared to the other platforms on this list, and they’ll often invite you to participate in follow-up studies, which will bolster your earnings.

How they pay: You get paid either by check or through PayPal.

How to sign up for MedSurvey

When we looked into signing up for MedSurvey, we were told that they’re currently updating their system and are not accepting new members.

However, you can open the chatbot at the bottom right corner of MedSurvey’s homepage and enter your email to get notified when they open up to new members again.

Earning potential: $10–$300 per survey.

Overview: M3 Global Research is another healthcare market research company that pays participants to take part in online and over-the-phone surveys.

After you sign up, they’ll send you screening questions to determine which surveys you’re eligible for. M3 states on their site that they may pay you even if you’re disqualified from a survey (if you take a set of screening questions that’s particularly long and time-consuming). However, this isn’t a sure thing.

User reports: Users claiming to have worked with M3 report that they’ve had trouble consistently finding surveys they qualify for. Moreover, some report that it’s very difficult to get in touch with their support team, which is always a red flag with any company.

How they pay: When you sign up, you’ll get an “M3 wallet” where you’ll find your earnings. You can request a payout via check.

How to sign up for M3 Global Research

To sign up with M3 Global Research, follow the steps below:

1. Go to M3 Global Research’s homepage.
2. Fill in your personal details and email address, then create a password.

Earning potential: Generally $50–$500 per survey.

Overview: MDForLives is an online survey platform that looks for healthcare professionals (particularly physicians) and patients to participate in surveys.

Once you sign up with them, you’ll get invited to participate in surveys, the vast majority of which take around 5–30 minutes to complete.

You don’t get paid for participating in MDForLives surveys with actual cash. Instead, MDForLives will credit your account with “honoraria” whenever you complete a survey, and you’ll be able to exchange these for Amazon or Paytm gift cards (note that Paytm is an Indian payment platform, and you probably can’t cash out with it if you’re taking surveys in the US).

User reports: One user on SurveyPolice, a message board for paid survey sites, claims that they’ve been unable to cash out their MDForLives rewards, and says that the company is almost impossible to get ahold of. We weren’t able to independently verify this, but our advice would still be to proceed with caution or just avoid this site entirely.

How they pay: To cash out, log in to your account, head over to the rewards tab, and click “Redeem.” You can redeem your “honoraria” (credit) as a gift card from one of MDForLives’ gift partners, although you’ll need a minimum of $50 in credit to cash out.

Again, we recommend steering clear of MDForLives, but if you decide to try your luck, here’s how you sign up:

1. Go to MDForLives’ homepage and click “Join Us.”
2. Choose to apply as a “Physician,” “Allied Healthcare Professional,” or “Patient.”
3. Enter your email address and click “Next.”
4. Verify your email with the one-time password they send you.

Earning potential: Purportedly $3–$8 per minute.

Overview: M-panels is another market research company that looks for healthcare professionals and patients to participate in surveys and assessments.

After registering with them, they’ll send you invites to online and over-the-phone surveys that you’re eligible for. As with many of these sites, what you qualify for will depend on your specialty (and possibly on your demographics).

Most of their surveys take around 20–30 minutes to complete. As with MDForLives, you get “honoraria” credited to your account when you complete them.

User reports: There’s not a lot of information available from users who’ve worked with M-panels. They’re not a US-based company, and their web presence is fairly minimal.

We did find one review on the site ScamAdviser that claimed that M-panels did not credit their honoraria as promised, and that the support team was impossible to contact.

How they pay: You’ll get an “M-panels wallet” when you register with them. This is where they’ll deposit your honorarium. According to their FAQ, it will take around two business days after completing a survey to receive your payment.

M-panels doesn’t specify what methods you can use to actually cash out (e.g., PayPal, etc.); we contacted their support team to ask about this, and as of the time of writing, they haven’t responded.

Overview: Most of All Global Circle’s studies take place online, but they occasionally offer telephone surveys, with most taking around 30 minutes to complete.

Once you create an account with them, they’ll check your profile and invite you to participate in surveys you qualify for.

They offer a $50 sign-up bonus for new members, and have a referral program through which you can invite people to join in exchange for a bonus (although they don’t state how much you’ll get).

User reports: All Global Circle is frequently featured on lists of reliable healthcare market research companies, and anecdotal reports from users suggest that they’re legitimate and pay as promised.

How they pay: After you complete a survey, All Global Circle will credit your reward to your account within 2 business days. You can cash out via PayPal or exchange your credit for a gift card.

Overview: InCrowd is a market research company that invites healthcare professionals to participate in surveys and interviews, with almost all of them being compatible with mobile devices.

According to InCrowd’s site, most of their surveys take around 10 minutes to complete. Interviews take anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes to complete.

User reports: InCrowd has been around since 2010 and has a reputation for being reliable and trustworthy, with users leaving mostly positive feedback for them.

The fact that you can complete surveys on your phone is a big plus, since it means you can fit your InCrowd side hustle into odd moments in your day (e.g., you can take surveys while you commute, while you’re in waiting rooms, etc.).

How they pay: When you finish a survey, you’ll earn a reward. You can cash out when you reach their minimum redemption threshold of 25 rewards. When you do, you can opt to receive an electronic gift card via Tango or PayPal.

InCrowd also has a referral program that will pay you and the person you refer up to $20.

Earning potential: Unfortunately, ZoomRx doesn’t state on their site how much they pay for surveys.

Overview: ZoomRx accepts physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and patients from the US for their studies, which include market research studies, patient insight studies, and surveys to analyze healthcare trends and practices.

You can complete many of ZoomRx’s surveys on your phone through their mobile app.

They also have a referral program that will pay you $30 for every successful referral (someone who “completes at least one survey with us within 6 months of joining,” according to ZoomRx’s FAQ).

User reports: Overall, most users seem to have good things to say about ZoomRx, and most of the reviews for their app are positive.

How they pay: ZoomRx pays via check or PayPal.

To start working with ZoomRx, follow these steps:

Overview: Sermo is a social network for healthcare professionals that also offers opportunities to participate in paid medical surveys (as well as interviews, which are more lucrative).

They accept a range of specialists, from physicians to nurses, and you can fill out surveys on your computer or phone.

User reports: While Sermo is one of the most well-known paid medical survey sites and frequently features on lists like this, the general user experience seems mixed.

Many users report that rates on the site are low, and that it’s often hard to find surveys you qualify for (although you do reportedly get a $5 payment if you’re screened out of surveys or interviews).

Sermo is definitely legit and pays as promised. However, it’s possible you’ll find it still isn’t worth the hassle if, like many people, you have trouble finding surveys you qualify for.

Most of OpinionSite’s surveys take between 10 and 20 minutes.

User reports: OpinionSite’s rates are very low. Users who say they’ve worked for them do report that they offer a lot of surveys and are one of the more consistent sites in this space, but you still won’t be able to make much by working for them.

How they pay: OpinionSite will pay you for each survey in “points.” Once you have at least 25 points in your Rewards Wallet, you can cash them out, with 1,400 points equating to $1.

You’ll be able to participate in online surveys (including surveys on your phone), over-the-phone interviews, and in-person focus groups.

Most of their surveys take around 5–20 minutes to complete, meaning you can easily take part when you have a few minutes to spare.

User reports: Most users seem to have positive experiences working with Focus Group. They report that it does pay you as promised, although it may take anywhere from six to eight weeks to actually get your payout.

How they pay: Focus Group pays in points, with 100 being equivalent to $1.
