Job Description:
Website Marketing Manager
Code.org is seeking a Website Marketing Manager to support the organization’s digital engagement strategy by assisting with the management and optimization of the Code.org and CSforALL websites. Reporting to the Director of Email & Website, this role will focus on enhancing user experience, supporting traffic growth and conversions, and supporting content strategy across the web properties. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of UX/UI principles, SEO, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, as well as a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences to diverse audiences, including educators, students, donors, and partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Management & Optimization
- Assist with the day-to-day management of Code.org and CSforALL websites (pre-sign in, non-studio), ensuring high performance, accessibility, and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with Engineering and external developers to support website roadmap execution, technical improvements, and creative updates.
- Assist in implementing UX/UI improvements based on user research, analytics, and stakeholder input to enhance site usability and conversions.
- Support the implementation and optimization of the content strategy and site architecture in partnership with content creators and brand stakeholders.
- Ensure all content meets accessibility standards, is mobile-responsive, and supports multilingual needs as appropriate.
SEO & Analytics
- Support SEO efforts, keyword strategy, and metadata optimization to increase search engine visibility.
- Monitor and analyze website traffic, engagement, and performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Director and broader team to inform ongoing strategy and experimentation.
- Partner with the Marketing Analyst to report on KPIs and develop dashboards that track user behavior and campaign impact.
Conversion & Engagement Optimization
- Help implement A/B testing, heatmapping, and user journey analysis to improve conversion rates and engagement across key landing pages.
- Support donation and advocacy-related pages to maximize fundraising and policy impact through optimized user flows and messaging.
- Assist in the implementation of personalization and dynamic content strategies to tailor user experiences by audience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Director of Email & Website to align web initiatives with email, lifecycle marketing, social, and broader organizational goals.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Advocacy, Programs, Fundraising) to ensure web content reflects current priorities and campaigns.
- Help manage relationships with web vendors and external contractors, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables and adherence to budget.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
We seek candidates who have:
- 5+ years of experience in website marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Contentful, Framer, or similar headless CMS and website-building tools.
- Strong understanding of SEO, UX, CRO, and web performance optimization.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and marketing automation platforms.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for troubleshooting and collaboration with developers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
We prefer candidates who also have:
- Experience working in an education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization.
- Familiarity with other digital marketing tools such as Pardot, Salesforce, or fundraising platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design best practices.
- Passion for Code.org’s mission and commitment to computer science education.

- Be willing to travel a minimum of two times per year for team events

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE
The expected salary range for this position is $88,200 - $98,000. Most offers are on the lower end of the salary range and are at the company’s sole discretion based on the final candidate’s experience. This allows us to provide a fair and equitable approach to compensation when setting pay and maintaining internal pay equity.
