Job Description:
OVERVIEW
As the Vice President of Global Supply Chain & Procurement at Cadrex, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our supply chain operations across a global network of suppliers and 15+ manufacturing plants in North America. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) / CEO to start, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure an efficient, cost-effective, and reliable flow of materials, products, and services throughout our organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC PLANNING:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth plans
- Evaluate market trends, supplier capabilities, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. To include, but not limited to, inventory turns, Quarter over Quarter cost savings, Continuity of supply, lead-time reductions, supplier contracts and renewals, supplier sustainability performance, supply chain scalability/flexibility, Supplier Scorecards, E&O/slow moving trends, alignment of tier 1 and tier 2 supply Agreements to Cadrex Customer Agreements
PROCUREMENT:
- Lead the procurement function to source, negotiate, and contract with suppliers globally, ensuring the best value, quality, and delivery for raw materials, components, and services
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier diversity and sustainability
SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS:
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics
- Drive process improvements and efficiency gains throughout the supply chain, utilizing tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and process re-engineering
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, trade regulations, and ethical standards in all supply chain activities
RISK MANAGEMENT:
- Identify and assess risks within the supply chain, including geopolitical, economic, environmental, and operational risks
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and optimize resilience in the supply chain network
TALENT DEVELOPMENT:
- Build and lead a high-performing supply chain and procurement team, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, extreme ownership, and continuous learning within the department
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, Sales, and Engineering, to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
- Communicate regularly with executive leadership to provide updates on supply chain performance, risks, and opportunities.
