Staffing Options: Depending on the Tier you desire, you would need to float beyond ER. (PCU, ICU, MS and ED Holds as needed.)
We Hear you! We are pleased to announce some exciting changes to our Southwest Region Resource Pool teams, which give you options that allows YOU to choose the best schedule to fit your life.
Select the level that best fits your schedule/availability. An 18-week (3 scheduling periods) commitment is required. All CSO team members report to the NTX CSO department leaders.
RN Tier 1 CSO PRN- $45/HR + Shift diff
· Commit to 36 hours per 6-week schedule
· Hours are not guaranteed
· Work 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule
· Work 1 Holiday/DTS shift during commitment period
· Works at Huguley with minimum competency to work 1 area/unit
RN-Tier 2 CSO PRN– $47/HR +Shift diff
· Commit to 36 hours per 6-week schedule
· Hours are not guaranteed
· Work 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule
· Work 1 Holiday/DTS shift during commitment period
· Works at Huguley and willing to float to Texas Health Mansfield, with minimum competency to work 1 area/unit
RN Tier 3 CSO PRN– $50/HR +Shift diff
· Commit to 48 hours per pay period
· Hours are not guaranteed
· Work 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
· Work 2 holiday/DTS shift during commitment period
· Works at Huguley and willing to float to Texas Health Mansfield, with minimum competency to work 2 area/units
· May request 1-week unpaid vacation during commitment period. No approved time off during holiday weeks. Must provide manager 4 weeks’ notice for vacation requests.
RN Tier 4 CSO PRN– $55/HR + Shift diff
· Commit to 72 hours per pay period
· Hours are not guaranteed
· Work 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
· Work 2 Holiday/DTS shifts during commitment period.
· Works at Huguley and willing to float to Texas Health Mansfield, with minimum competency to work 2 area/units
· May request 1-week unpaid vacation during commitment period. No approved time off during holiday weeks. Must provide manager 4 weeks’ notice for vacation requests
Missed Shift (absent/sick): if you miss a commitment shift during your contracted period, you will need to make it up within 6 weeks.
Tier Shift Requirements: If unable to meet Tier shift requirements, for given 6-week scheduling period, may result in Tier change to a lower tier level or termination of employment. Refer to HR policies related to standby status, absences, holiday shift absences, and weekend shift absences.
Incentive Pay: Not eligible for special pay shift incentives until CSO requirements have been met.

The registered nurse utilizes principles of the nursing process to provide for the continuity of nursing care administered to a specific group of patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the Emergency Room and hospital administration.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Provides for delivery of patient care through assessment with identification and prioritization of presenting problems or needs, to facilitate optimum patient care.
· Evaluate patients presented to the Emergency Room upon their arrival.
o Determines priority of care upon evaluation.
o Assigns patients to appropriate treatment areas based upon observations, vital signs and a brief history.
o Inform nurse and/or physicians of urgent/emergency cases.
o Keeps charge nurses and physicians informed of patient census in waiting room and types of disease entities waiting.
o Proactive in efforts to facilitate patient flow through E.D.
· Assesses the patient's status on admission by performing a pertinent physical assessment and obtaining a nursing history as documented in the E.R. record and in accordance with Standards of Care.
· Performs continuing assessment of patient's condition throughout the time in Emergency Room until discharge or admission as documented in E.R. record.
· Recognizes potential emergency/life threatening situations and implements preventive measures.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or degree program.
· Current license or permit issued by the state of Texas to practice as a registered nurse or in a qualifying compact State.
· Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS.
