Chamberlain University is pleased to announce a new part-time online teaching opportunity within our University Seminar portfolio—a series of courses designed to meaningfully engage both new and at-risk students throughout their academic journey. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on students as they progress through their degree program.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate virtual,new student orientation activities, ensuring a smooth transition into the academic environment. Collaborate with university faculty and staff to foster early student engagement, build community, and promote long-term academic success from the beginning of the degree program.
- Engage students using an online LMS as they use a competency-based approach to develop study skills in reading/critical thinking, scientific reasoning, and supportive learning content in nursing and health sciences.
- Coach, mentor, encourage and monitor students closely as they follow timelines and meet benchmarks during their competency-based progress during each 8-week course.
- Partner with academic leaders to develop strategies for success as areas of opportunity for students are identified and reported through extensive data collection and outcome assessment.
- Monitor student progress on a personalized learning path, referring students to academic resources and supportive learning as needed.
- Conduct virtual office hours.
