Job Description:
Position is responsible for accepting hunter-harvested deer and elk heads, recording data, money handling, collecting tissue samples for chronic wasting disease (CWD) testing, and other duties as assigned. Will maintain, sanitize, and handle equipment safely along with cleaning the walk-in cooler and office space. Training is provided on how to remove tissue samples from deer and elk for CWD testing and to perform mandatory inspections of hunter-harvested moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, black bears, bobcats, and mountain lions. Position will also assist the front desk staff with selling licenses/park passes and with registrations of vehicles (boats, OHVs, and snowmobiles). Will have opportunities to gain field experience by assisting biologists/researchers with projects or by going on ride-alongs with wildlife officers.
