Technical Writer – Cybersecurity SaaS Product

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our product and engineering organization. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and customer success teams to produce high-quality documentation that enables users to understand, deploy, and gain value from our cybersecurity SaaS platform. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining user guides, API documentation, release notes, and internal knowledge articles that support a fast-paced development lifecycle and complex technical subject matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and maintain customer-facing documentation including product guides, API references, integration instructions, and feature release notes.

• Translate complex cybersecurity and SaaS concepts into clear, concise documentation tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Partner with engineers, product managers, and SMEs to proactively gather information, understand feature intent, and validate technical accuracy.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies to align documentation delivery with product release cycles.

• Maintain a scalable, version-controlled documentation infrastructure using tools like Git, MkDocs, and static site generators.

• Design and refine a consistent documentation style guide across all channels and teams.

• Identify and explore opportunities to leverage AI-driven tools (e.g., content suggestion systems, prompt-based authoring tools) to enhance documentation workflows and content quality.

• Contribute to the creation of intelligent user assistance, AI-generated help content, and internal documentation automation pipelines.

• Support internal enablement through the development of knowledge base articles, onboarding materials, and contextual support content.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience as a technical writer for B2B SaaS or developer-facing cybersecurity products.

• Demonstrated experience documenting APIs, infrastructure platforms, or security tools.

• Proficiency in Markdown, Git workflows, Swagger/OpenAPI, and static site generators.

• Javascript/CSS Basic Proficiency - to tweak static site generator appearance

• Ability to read and explain code snippets in formats such as YAML, JSON, Bash, or Python.

• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices such as penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and zero trust architectures.

• Experience writing content for compliance-heavy platforms (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001).

• Exposure to or use of AI-enabled documentation workflows or authoring tools.
