The applicant will underwrite new and renewal business and provide professional service to agents and companies. The role requires a relevant insurance license or willingness to obtain one upon hire, along with strong analytical and relationship management skills.
Job Description:
Underwrite new and renewal business in a call center atmosphere, approve policy changes, maintain workload, and control written business up to and including the time of binding according to Company guidelines and established TAPCO procedures. Provide high quality professional service to Agents and Companies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Underwrite new and renewal business.
2. Meet or exceed production goals as assigned by TAPCO.
3. Make approvals and disapprovals of endorsement quote requests according to internal and Company guidelines.
4. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
5. Market TAPCO products and services to clients.
6. Instruct support staff on the handling of cancellation and non-renewal notices according company requirements.
7. Review inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented to us at the time of quoting and binding and take appropriate or needed actions.
8. Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Licensed in corresponding areas of insurance or willing to obtain appropriate licensures upon hire.
2. Ability to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies.
3. Ability to understand the client's needs and have knowledge of the risk profiles associated.
4. Ability to recognize new trends and developments in the insurance industry and be able to incorporate into strategies.
5. Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating.
6. Ability to use company automation to include Windows, Word, Excel, TAPSYS.
7. Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with agencies.
8. Ability to exercise discretion in making decisions.
9. Leadership and team playing skills.
10. Ability to maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry.
11. Good written and verbal skills.
12. Good telephone communication skills and phone etiquette.
13. Ability to maintain travel schedule depending on the needs of the company.
14. Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation.
2. Three years of experience in production and marketing of new accounts.
