Summary/Objective
The Director of Strategic Implementation is a senior leader responsible for driving customer success and long-term partnership value across the customer lifecycle. This role provides strategic oversight and direction for both pre-sales and post-sales engagements, ensuring proactive planning, data-informed implementation excellence, and sustained advocacy that fuels renewals, referrals, and customer expansion.
As a key executive stakeholder in customer success, the Director serves as a trusted advisor to district leaders and school-based teams, aligning deeply with customer goals to deliver measurable literacy outcomes. This role leads cross-functional collaboration across sales, services, and product teams to ensure a seamless customer journey—from initial engagement to ongoing value realization.
With a dual focus on strategic account management and operational execution, the Director of Strategic Implementation champions the Reading Horizons mission through high-impact partnerships, exceptional service delivery, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential functions
Account Ownership & Territory Strategy
- Serve as the account owner for assigned accounts, accountable for customer health, retention, and growth. (Miami Dade County Public Schools and Broward County Schools)
- Collaborate with Account Executives to co-develop comprehensive account plans addressing customer needs, risk mitigation, and expansion opportunities.
- Actively track account performance metrics, aligning efforts with territory goals and organizational priorities.
- Stay informed about relevant state legislation, funding opportunities, and RFPs to position Reading Horizons as an indispensable literacy solution.
Implementation Accountability
- Operationalize data-driven implementation frameworks that define measurable goals and milestones in collaboration with district and site-based leadership, ensuring scalability across strategic accounts.
- Lead implementation performance reviews by analyzing customer data to surface insights, close gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
- Cultivate deep trust and long-term partnerships with district and school leaders by providing consistent, high-quality strategic support—while codifying best practices and playbooks to ensure repeatable excellence at scale.
Customer Advocacy & Long-Term Engagement
- Develop deep expertise in each customer’s current and future use of Reading Horizons curriculum solutions in order to serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to foster advocacy, loyalty, and upsell opportunities.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve professional learning and engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Account Executives and other departments, namely Product and Marketing to ensure alignment and execution of customer goals.
- Develop and maintain tailored implementation plans that position Reading Horizons as a trusted long-term partner.
Measurable Outcomes (EOS Metrics)
- Monthly Strategic Data briefs: Concise, data-rich report summarizing implementation progress, key trends, and at-risk indicators across strategic accounts.
- Strategic Site Touchpoints: Engage directly with school or district leaders at priority sites through coaching, consultation, or collaborative planning aligned to implementation goals. (4 sites weekly)
