Weston Distance Learning is currently seeking a Social Work Instructor to help train students in the areas of Social Work, Psychology and Sociology. This is a part-time work-from-home position with the instructor working from a home office using our online learning platform.
Responsibilities include:

Review and manage the Social Work course assignments, including grading and using innovative ways to provide content coaching.

Focus on coaching, motivating, and teaching Social Work program students through tutoring appointments, email and written comments on graded papers.

Model effective oral and written communication that engages the Social Work students, providing clarity, and improving student learning.

Demonstrate consistency and fairness in grading and provide timely feedback to students.

Work with the Curriculum Department in conducting Academic Reviews to ensure content is relevant and current.
Requirements for successful candidates include:

Possesses a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a closely related field.

Has at least 5 years full-time work experience over the past 10 years in the area to be taught.

Holds a degree earned from an institution accredited by an agency that is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or, for non-U.S. institutions, an accepted foreign equivalent that is listed in the International Handbook of Universities (18th ed.).

Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.

Displays strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Starting pay is expected to be $25/hour but may vary based on experience.
