The Server Assistant is responsible for providing food, beverages, and exemplary customer service to members and guests. Displaying a positive attitude with having knowledge about the food and beverage menu will ensure member/guest satisfaction and retention.
Responsibilities:
- Help maintain the culture and positive vibe of the brand experiences while serving guests
- Set up tables before service with appropriate utensils and napkins, and bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash
- Assist in placing the appropriate tableware guests need to enjoy their meal
- Master memorizing the menu and recommending appetizers, meals, and drinks
- Deliver food orders to guests quickly and accurately
- Check in with guests to ensure their experience is satisfactory
- Deliver a memorable dining experience by resolving all guest issues promptly and professionally
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Promptly clear, clean, and reset tables between courses and after guest departure
- Refill water glasses and assist with beverage service as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations
- Assist servers with running food, delivering bread, setting tableware, etc.
- Monitor guest needs discreetly and anticipate requests without interrupting the dining experience
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
- Support the flow of service during busy periods and special events
- Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction
- Other duties, responsibilities, and requirements may be assigned as necessary
Skills & Abilities:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hotel is preferred, or Prior expertise in fine dining or upscale hospitality.
- Food Handler’s Certification & TABC Certification
- Ability to adhere to all company policies and the code of conduct
- Exemplary time and resource management, including good attendance
- Ability to cope with fast-paced environments and a team-oriented environment
- Knowledgeable about the Company’s food and beverage menus
- Ability to speak and write in basic English
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds during shifts
- Flexible availability, including nights. Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays, preferred availability 2pm-12am
