Overview
We are building a new Program Management team at Stellar Virtual, and we're looking for Project Managers who are ready to make a significant impact. You'll be instrumental in operationalizing the growth and expansion of our national virtual schools, directly shaping Stellar's academic programs through expert project and process management. We have multiple Project Manager roles available, seeking candidates with varying levels of experience.
Essential Duties
- Lead strategic initiatives: Drive the operationalization of Stellar Virtual's national school growth and expansion, ensuring scalable and sustainable processes.
- Define and optimize processes: Engineer and refine business, operational, and academic processes, creating efficient workflows that directly impact our educational programs.
- Manage end-to-end projects: Take ownership of complex projects, from defining scope and objectives to developing detailed schedules, timelines, and resource plans.
- Hands-on project execution: Directly manage a diverse portfolio of business, operational, and academic projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with academic leads, technology teams, and operational departments to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
- Drive continuous improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement and implement solutions to boost efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience in project management, process engineering, and/or an operational role within an educational environment. Senior roles will require 10+ years of experience.
- Proficiency with project and product management software (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Aha, ProdPad, AirTable, ClickUp, Jira, or similar tools).
- Comfort with the Google suite of software.
- Experience and comfort managing technical projects directly or working closely with third party implementers.
- Proven ability to define and understand project scope and objectives in complex environments.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing comprehensive project schedules and timelines.
- Experience with budget and resource management for projects of varying scale.
- Familiarity with managing technical or development-oriented projects is a plus.
- Hands-on experience overseeing operations or project execution in an educational setting is highly valued.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Strong team leadership and motivation capabilities, inspiring collaboration and accountability.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization, from frontline staff to senior leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience in the K-12 education sector is preferred.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Education Management, or related field preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credentials a plus
