Senior IT Help Desk Engineer - Burlington VT Area

Blue Mantis is looking to add another member to our growing team. We provide cutting edge technology solutions to Vermont based businesses. This is an exciting position that is fast paced, requires proficient troubleshooting skills, and candidates must have excellent customer service skills and patience.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on Windows client operating systems, MAC, as well as Microsoft server operating systems.
• Manage help desk requests submitted by phone, email, or chat. Document all support requests and resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Manage complex projects including on-prem to cloud conversions (Exchange to O365, server virtualization and migration to the cloud, etc)
• Have a reliable vehicle to travel to customer locations to resolve requests that require an onsite visit. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 3-5 years of IT experience working remotely or onsite supporting end users.
• Related industry certifications preferred (A+, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, CCNA, etc)
• Supporting HP, Dell, Intel, or Lenovo client and server hardware
• Supporting Windows operating systems such as Windows 10/11 and server operating systems ranging from 2012 to 2022
• Virtualization technology including Hyper-V and VMWare ESXI Virtual Servers.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP
• Network systems knowledge including switch management (variety of hardware vendors), VLANs, routing, firewall support including WatchGuard, SonicWALL, Cisco, and Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls.
• Microsoft 365 Administration
• Wireless experience managing and supporting autonomous and managed access points.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or office support role.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid/remote environment – Ability to travel to client sites within a reasonable distance from your home.
• Physical requirements may include lifting up to 70 lbs
• Required to have reliable transportation to travel to client sites as needed
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Driver's License.

Benefits

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $80,000 to $110,000.00 per year. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, years of experience and location.
