Job Description:
The seasonal Retail Sales Associate (RSA) is the fi rst point of contact for Museum retail store visitors and will be responsible for providing a positive, enjoyable learning experience for all visitors. The RSA is an integral member of the Museum team, responsible for day to day operations in The Shop.
Job Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate superior customer service both in person and on the phone.
• Conduct customer transactions/interactions in a professional manner.
• Help maintain a neat and clean Shop environment.
• Assist with the receiving, tagging, and stocking of merchandise.
• Manage multiple duties simultaneously and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• The seasonal position is critical during the busy summer season, between May and September. The schedule will vary week to week, with an expected schedule between 28-32 hours a week.
• Flexibility in schedule is required including weekends, holidays and evenings as required by the business. Schedules are posted a month at a time.
Education Requirements
• High school diploma or Equivalent Required (must be 18 years or older).
Experience Requirements
• Experience working in a customer-facing role; ideally in a retail environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high attention to detail.
• A comfort level with computers and ability to learn a point of sale system (i.e. processing credit cards and cash).
