Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Scanning Clerk is a temporary, part-time position established to support Old West Federal Credit Union's administrative needs during the summer months. This role is responsible for assisting with document scanning, filing, and general clerical duties across multiple branch locations. The position may include opportunities for additional responsibilities, such as teller-related training, based on demonstrated aptitude and operational need.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate scanners and related equipment to digitize paper documents.
- Sort, organize, and maintain both physical and digital files.
- Perform basic data entry and clerical duties, including organizing records and preparing documentation.
- Follow established procedures for document confidentiality and information security.
- Assist in general office functions such as copying, mailing, and preparing documents.
- May be trained in teller operations based on interest and/or performance.
- Travel to other branches as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS

- Mobility: Must be able to sit for extended periods (approximately 70%) and move around the office (approximately 30%).
- Vision: Ability to effectively use a computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos, and other paperwork. Must be able to maintain sustained concentration on a computer screen.
- Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to move items such as transporting files and office supplies, up to 25 pounds.
- Posture: Ability to access files and supplies in low cabinets and shelves. Retrieve appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies.
- Focus: Capable of maintaining attention in a busy office setting with occasional interruptions.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Scanning Clerk position reports in-person. Work area is indoors in an office setting that is climate-controlled with light background noise. The position involves travel to other branches as needed; a company vehicle will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma, GED, or another equivalent required.
- Must be currently enrolled in or accepted into a college or university for the fall semester.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
