Job Description:
The Sales Rep is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing shares in the territory by expanding sales to existing customers and developing new business opportunities within the assigned Region. The ideal candidate will be based in the Atlanta Metro area.
This role will optimize the company’s position by improving revenue and margin according to established regional goals and objectives. Remains current on market conditions that have an impact on the region and uses the information to anticipate market changes for Sun, our customers, and our customers’ customers. This role orchestrates resources to gain the necessary support to meet our customers’ needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Service and support a defined book of regional accounts, delivering value to the customer and Sun Chemical through sales activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales accounts within regional assignment.
- Provide compelling service experience for accounts that have the opportunity to grow with the Sun platform.
- Provide insight into Sun product offerings, as appropriate to the individual customer and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain account strategies, to maximize profits and minimize customer churn.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for leads as provided by the NAPG Marketing team; review and qualifies leads in conjunction with RSM.
- Prospect accounts across regional assignments using CRM and other available lead sources.
- Learn and understand the Customer's Operating Reality, providing Voice of the Customer feedback to Sun Chemical
- Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to develop volume/revenue/margin targets and strategize how to meet those targets.
- Recognize and understand competitive threats and opportunities, develop strategies to protect existing customer base and capture new business.
- Manage day-to-day territory needs through customer interaction, communicating using remote tools to stay engaged across the customer portfolio as appropriate.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent communication, phone, and interpersonal skills.
- 2-4 years of working in a sales or customer-facing position.
- Proven advanced customer account management skills.
- Strong computer proficiency with knowledge of SAP and SalesForce.
- High School Diploma
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Undergraduate Degree in a technical discipline, Business Administration or other relevant area of study desired.
- Knowledge of print room operations or printing process preferred.
- Knowledge of the Chemical industry, Chemical distribution, technical sales, or graphic arts preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 60% (local and regional)
