The Village at Rockville is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Delegating Nurse to join our team. As a Delegating Nurse, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the clinical care of our assisted living residents, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a supportive and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Issue nursing or clinical orders based on residents' needs
- Appropriately delegate nursing tasks to qualified team members
- Assess residents to determine their condition and stability before delegating tasks
- Provide guidance, training, monitoring, and supervision to team members
- Follows up on nursing care to ensure residents satisfaction
- Ensures standards of resident care are utilized and delegates responsibilities as defined by policy or necessary to ensure appropriate resident care
- Monitors and assists assigned team members as necessary to ensure completion of all tasks properly and in a timely manner
- Evaluate the resident health status and nursing acts to be delegated during supervisory on-site visits
- Determine the required degree of supervision after evaluation, resident stability, training of team members and nursing tasks
- Identify residents to whom nursing tasks may be delegated and reevaluate their competencies regularly
- Assume the role of case manager when delegating nursing tasks, including medication administration and residents’ health care needs
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in good standing in Maryland
- Maryland Assisted Living Delegating Nurse Certification, issued by a training site approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing, is required
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in hospital, long term care facility or other related healthcare facility
- Excellent communication and leadership
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills; and ability to maintain confidentiality residential information
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of Assisted Living regulations in Maryland
- Proficiency in assessment, care planning, and documentation
- Ability to read and speak English
