RESPONSIBILITIES
WORK SCHEDULE MONDAY TO FRIDAY 11:30AM TO 8:00PM
FLORIDA RESIDENT CANDIDATES ONLY
- The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go is responsible for performing routine and non-routine pharmacy technician functions and activities related to the position.
- The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go must be able to multi-task between multiple software programs and/or applications, handle multiple telecommunication lines, and work efficiently in all Microsoft programs.
- The Registered Pharmacy Technician Rx To Go must be able to exercise excellent communication skills to successfully interact with all levels of internal and external parties.
- All information documented will be accurate to the best of the employee’s knowledge and presented in a professional manner.
- The Registered Pharmacy Technician Rx To Go must be able to effectively use, pronounce, and spell common medical and pharmacy terms.
- The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go will keep open lines of communication with their immediate supervisor and/or manager and will always be under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- No patient counseling will be completed by the Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go.
- Intake Team: Responsible for pharmacy insurance data entry and verification of insurance benefits.
- Provides exceptional service to patients, staff, insurance representatives, pharmaceutical representatives, vendors and fellow employees.
- Interacts in a professional manner with all contacts in order to promote effective exchanges of information.
- Will be the first line of communication for inbound/outbound telephonic calls, e-mails, and internal computer program communications for the pharmacy department.
- Will coordinate with appropriate teams in the pharmacy to expedite all pharmacy services.
- Adherence Team: Responsible for documenting and encouraging therapy adherence under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Maintains accurate medication information (missed doses, medication reconciliation, patient-reported side effects, and dose changes), investigates prescription barriers, reports order updates to the clinic, and schedules orders for delivery/pickup in a timely manner.
- Revenue Team: Responsible for ensuring that prescriptions are processed for eligible patients and properly billed to their benefit plan.
- Responsible for working with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and communicate any potential delays to the appropriate pharmacy staff members.
- Provides support to the Revenue Manager for the day-to-day financial operations of the pharmacy and will be an active member of the audit team.
- Dispensing & Distribution Team: Responsible for the dispensing of oral oncology medications under the supervision of the Dispensing Operations Pharmacist.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education is required.
- Previous Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy is required.
- Certifications/Licenses: Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of residence is required. (FL RPT) Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is preferred.
