Registered Pharmacy Technician Rx To Go

The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go is responsible for performing routine and non-routine pharmacy technician functions and activities related to the position.

The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go must be able to multi-task between multiple software programs and/or applications, handle multiple telecommunication lines, and work efficiently in all Microsoft programs.

The Registered Pharmacy Technician Rx To Go must be able to exercise excellent communication skills to successfully interact with all levels of internal and external parties.

The Registered Pharmacy Technician Rx To Go must be able to effectively use, pronounce, and spell common medical and pharmacy terms.

The Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go will keep open lines of communication with their immediate supervisor and/or manager and will always be under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

No patient counseling will be completed by the Registered Pharmacy Technician, Rx To Go.

Intake Team: Responsible for pharmacy insurance data entry and verification of insurance benefits.

Provides exceptional service to patients, staff, insurance representatives, pharmaceutical representatives, vendors and fellow employees.

Interacts in a professional manner with all contacts in order to promote effective exchanges of information.

Will be the first line of communication for inbound/outbound telephonic calls, e-mails, and internal computer program communications for the pharmacy department.

Will coordinate with appropriate teams in the pharmacy to expedite all pharmacy services.

Adherence Team: Responsible for documenting and encouraging therapy adherence under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.

Maintains accurate medication information (missed doses, medication reconciliation, patient-reported side effects, and dose changes), investigates prescription barriers, reports order updates to the clinic, and schedules orders for delivery/pickup in a timely manner.

Revenue Team: Responsible for ensuring that prescriptions are processed for eligible patients and properly billed to their benefit plan.

Responsible for working with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and communicate any potential delays to the appropriate pharmacy staff members.

Provides support to the Revenue Manager for the day-to-day financial operations of the pharmacy and will be an active member of the audit team.

Dispensing & Distribution Team: Responsible for the dispensing of oral oncology medications under the supervision of the Dispensing Operations Pharmacist, including but not limited to accurately counting and filling, ordering and stocking, packaging and shipping of oral oncology medications.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education is required.

Previous Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in specialty, retail, mail order, or hospital pharmacy is required.
