Job Description:
The City of Beloit Police Department, a department whose personnel are committed to protecting the lives, property and rights of all citizens, is currently accepting applications for the position of a Part-Time Records Clerk. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys serving the public or may be interested in a future law enforcement career with the Beloit Police Department.
Record Clerks provide clerical support to the entire Department. Duties are administrative in nature and include timely data entry, quality control of reports, and the ability to comply with criminal justice confidentiality requirements across a broad spectrum of tasks. This position involves the exercise of initiative and independent judgment of considerable importance. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, typing from electronic dictation or other sources, entering information into a variety of databases, composing correspondence, fulfilling open records request and basic record keeping duties. This is a non-sworn position with no powers of arrest.
This position is part-time 3rd shift and will work 28 hours per week. The position has a rotating schedule which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. The shift will be 8.5 hours long with a 30 minute unpaid lunch built in.
3rd Shift Part time- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday @ 10:30pm-7:00am.
Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday @ 10:30pm-7:00am.
