Range Attendant
Department: Golf Operations
Reports To: First Assistant Golf Professional
Working Hours: Varied, weekends and holidays a must.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Job Type: Part-Time
Position Overview: The Range Attendant is responsible for Guest experience on the driving range as well as developing a professional relationship with our member base. Responsible for enforcing club rules such as dress code, hitting from the proper position and ensures all patrons are Members or Members' Guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet golfers warmly upon arrival and provide assistance with bags and equipment.
- Deliver excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing Guest needs promptly.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
- Reminds players verbally in a kind and professional manner if any rules violations occur.
- Always maintain a a positive attitude towards Members and Guests.
Driving Range Operations:
- Set up, maintain, and restock the driving range, including collecting and cleaning range balls.
- Ensure the range area is clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Assist with setting up practice areas for lessons or tournaments.
- Reports all infractions to Golf Professional at the end of the shift.
- Ensures all players are registered and log any Suntree non-golf member (Social or Tennis) into a spreadsheet.
Course Assistance:
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the staging area, bag drop, and parking lot.
- Provide information about course policies, tee times, and directions to golfers.
- Assist with special events or tournaments as needed.
Safety and Maintenance:
- Ensure proper use of carts by golfers and enforce safety guidelines.
- Perform minor cart maintenance and report more significant issues to the maintenance team.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for handling equipment and supplies.
