Job Description:
Job Summary: The Production Assistant (Helper) is responsible for collecting all products from the end of the production line and packing the products per customer or job requirements. This position is also responsible for keeping the products and quantities grouped with respective orders. This position works 2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday 1:45pm-11:45pm). This is a temporary summer position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Takes direction from the machine operators and/or production supervisor and completes assignments in a timely manner to ensure job requirements are met
- Collecting products from production line; packing jobs according to specifications; establishes counts, validates quantities, and product orientation
- Performs systematic checks of product to ensure requirements are met, identifies quality issues and alerts the machine operators
- Maintains general appearance of surrounding press; picking up waste, wiping spills and cleaning machines
- Other duties as assigned
