As a Product Manager for Micromedex's Search Platform and AI products, you’ll own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for how our search experience is to work, driving everything from our algorithm and optimization models to steering AI-driven search capabilities. Given how critical our search experience is to our overall product, your work will meaningfully shape user experience, engagement, and the company’s bottom line. 

You will also need to bring hands-on experience leading the development of AI applications and a passion for leveraging AI to create transformative tools. This role requires a blend of technical fluency and entrepreneurial spirit to incubate and scale new AI-driven products.

You'll lead initiatives that span machine learning-driven relevance optimization, innovative AI-driven semantic search and groundbreaking personalized experiences, fundamentally transforming how users engage with Micromedex online and in the app.

This is a highly strategic role visible at the executive level, offering the opportunity to significantly impact our competitive positioning through your expertise in search technology, product management leadership, and user-centered innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a visionary roadmap for Micromedex’s search platforms, encompassing advanced ML ranking models, vector-based search, AI-driven semantic search, conversational interfaces, and personalized experiences.

• Lead initiatives integrating sophisticated AI, such as embedding-based semantic search and advanced ranking algorithms.

• Champion the build-out of advanced, real-time search personalization and targeted search experiences based on user profiles and session data.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Marketing, and Business Operations teams to bring AI products and search innovations to market quickly, leveraging extensive backend-driven experimentation.

• Communicate and evangelize the roadmap and strategy clearly across Micromedex and with external stakeholders/customers, providing regular executive-level updates and insights.

• Customer Discovery: Engage deeply with AI engineers and product teams to identify pain points and opportunities. Translate customer insights into actionable product features and long-term strategies.

• Product Strategy: Define the product roadmap, balancing immediate opportunities with long-term vision. Lead market research to identify emerging trends and competitive dynamics in AI tools and applications.

• Solution Design: Partner with engineering and design teams to create intuitive, powerful tools that accelerate AI application development. Ensure product designs prioritize efficiency, usability, and scalability.

• Product Leadership: Lead the full lifecycle of product development, including creating PRDs, scoping features, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical execution with business objectives.

• Commercial Expertise: Drive the go-to-market strategies for AI-based products, working closely with marketing and sales teams. Define, align on and meet success metrics and ensure the team achieves key business milestones. Actively participate in customer-facing activities to evangelize the product and gather actionable feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience.

• Proven expertise working on and leading search product strategies.

• Demonstrated experience building and launching AI applications, with a deep understanding of machine learning models and deployment challenges.

• Passionate about using AI to solve real-world problems and empower physicians to efficiently do their job.

• Demonstrated track record of strategic leadership, driving major search-related initiatives from inception through successful execution, directly contributing to organizational success.

• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, capable of balancing immediate user experience considerations with long-term strategic business objectives.

• Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams including ML/AI, engineering, design, analytics, and business stakeholders to drive complex initiatives effectively.

• Adaptable and High-Agency demonstrated through thriving in fast-paced environments and taking ownership to deliver exceptional outcomes.

• Self-starter who identifies opportunities and drives initiatives independently.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating a compelling vision and translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans.
