We’re growing, and it’s an exciting time to be part of our journey! The Planning and Scheduling Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and supervising all scheduling functions for a large, complex project or a group of medium-sized projects. Your typical duties will include managing and directing all planning and scheduling functions for a project or group of projects. This encompasses establishing expectations for site schedulers, providing technical direction and support, and scheduler development and mentoring.
The ideal candidate will have transitioned from fieldwork to scheduling and possess expertise in Primavera P6. We are not looking for a mere data entry specialist but someone who can effectively communicate with field crews, plan activities, and manage multiple project schedules and schedulers.
Travel Details: This is a remote position with travel to corporate offices and job sites.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and direct all planning and scheduling functions for a group of projects.
- Develop and implement project scheduling standards and procedures, monitor compliance, and initiate corrective measures as necessary.
- Assist in planning functions such as reviewing bid documents, creating a bid schedule in accordance with established procedures, resource planning, and attending project pre-planning meetings.
- Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with company and client requirements.
- Provide consultation in planning and schedule analysis providing options for problem solutions.
- Create, maintain, update and/or oversee resource-loaded schedules for a group of projects.
- Develop reports and forecasts for schedule information.
- Ensure change management processes are followed as related to project schedules
- Participate in project progress meetings.
- Analyze schedules and generate reports for project supervision and corporate management.
- Attend meetings with other contractors, clients, and site management to review and update project schedules and assist in resolving issues.
- Manage subcontractor or client schedules, as requested, and integrate them into the project schedule.
- Archive project schedule on close out.
- Perform additional assignments as directed.
- Travel to sites as required.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive (ten or more years), on-site industrial construction scheduling experience.
- Emerging (2 or more years) of supervisory experience
- A four-year construction management or related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
- Thorough knowledge of diversified schedule principles, and practices.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills.
- Expert knowledge of P6, working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Proficiency with standard office software.

- Previous Superintendent or Construction Management experience
- Experience in project delay analysis
- Experience with SmartPM schedule management software
- Experience with P6 database administration
- Experience with Ineight construction management software.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years project cost management or related work experience
- 5+ years of schedule integration, practices and tools
- PMP Certification a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
- When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.

- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Primavera

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires prolonged sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
HOURS: This position is a standard full-time position, with general business 40-hour operating schedule, Monday-Friday.
