Job Description:
We are searching for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will work under the supervision of the site physician(s) and work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to render age-appropriate care. Practicing under established protocols, the NP assumes independent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of treatment and procedures.
Description:
Part time 30 hours per week, average 3 shifts per week.
This Nurse Practitioner will float to the North Territory which includes, The Woodlands, Kingwood and Vintage. Locations are open Monday - Sunday
Hours:
Kingwood and Vintage: Weekdays 12:00pm-10:00pm, weekends 10:00am-8:00pm
The Woodlands: Monday - Sunday 10a-10p
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing required
- RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing licensure Compact required
- PNP-BC certification from the Texas Board of Nursing required
- BLS or PALS certification from the American Heart Association required
Responsibilities:
- Works independently to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients, consulting with physician as needed
- Documents information in patient’s chart regarding assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education
- Provides verbal and/or written information regarding treatment regimens in language that is understandable and appropriate for the patient and/or caregiver
- Records diagnosis/CPT in an accurate, timely manner to ensure prompt posting of charges per site protocol
- Participates in site meetings and provides input to address patient care issues or operational concerns
