Job Description:
Role Description: The Payment Analyst will be responsible for compiling and analyzing a variety of daily, monthly, and quarterly reports. You will also review tools and reports for anomalous activity and handle dispute processes related to ACHs, checks, and debit cards. In this role you will:
- Produce and analyze monthly and quarterly management reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in daily general ledger balancing
- Review fraudulent and unauthorized claims from clients, other RDFI, etc., and respond appropriately within the specific time frame
- Review reports to ensure proper documentation was obtained by both internal and external sources
- Monitor systems for unusual/unexplained online and mobile banking activity
- Assist with charging fees/applying exchange rates for foreign items
- Complete reporting and manual entry of fees or fee discounts
- Quality control checks of processor functions/duties
- Assist with preparations for periodic audits and risk assessments for the department (ACH, check, wire, RDC)
- Process research requests from branches and clients
- Provide quality control check on highly manual processes
- Open cases for FinCrimes in their tracking system for payments that qualify to be escalated.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Have at least 1-2 years of banking experience
- Strong Excel knowledge
- Experience in reporting tools, such as PowerBI is preferred
- Are action-oriented, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Are curious, have humility, are open to learning and approach your work with a growth mindset
- Thrive working in a fluid environment with high autonomy
- Display exceptional communication skills while offering client support to internal and external clients
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make judgements with the information provided
