Credentials: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Experience working with individuals with mental and physical health diagnoses or substance abuse preferred
Job Description:
Do you want to help change lives? Do you enjoy helping others? The YMCA of Broome County has an exciting opportunity for a full time Security Officer.
At the YMCA of Broome County, our team members are given the opportunity to help change lives. As a security officer, you will work in our Housing Department to ensure the safety and happiness of our residents. The security officers job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all residents, visitors, YMCA personnel, the building and premises
- Patrol assigned areas and respond to incidents
- Maintain a high visibility presence to deter inappropriate actions
- Write detailed reports on incidents, complete daily reports and maintain accurate records
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information at all times
- Implement a clean and sober living environment for residents
- Mediate various situations between residents
Salary:
$16.50 per hour
Schedule:
Sunday & Monday
12:00am-8:30am
