SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Part-Time Floating Medical Assistant is responsible for administering occupational testing at various business locations. This role requires traveling to different sites at varying times to conduct tests and collect specimens. Flexibility is essential as work may include late hours and weekends based on business needs. Additionally, this position may assist in clinic and lab testing facilities as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct various occupational tests such as breath alcohol and respirator fit tests and other necessary evaluations.
· Collect specimens for drug screens, including random and post-accident testing.
· Complete required paperwork accurately.
· Scan and maintain patient information in accordance with company policies.
· Ensure all necessary supplies for testing are available.
· Assist in clinic and lab locations as needed.
· Utilize office equipment and computer programs efficiently, ensuring accurate and current information.
· Attend to after-hours and weekend calls as needed.
· Perform administrative duties such as filing, greeting patients, and scanning documents.
· Execute all other duties as assigned.
Position Type and Expected Work Hours:
This is a part-time position, typically requiring hours Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM, but may often include additional hours based on business and patient needs.
Travel: Localized travel within the Florida panhandle is required.
Supervisory/Work Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities are expected. An approachable demeanor is essential for interaction with Administrative and Clinical Staff as well as outside business contacts.
