As a Part-Time Environmental Technician, you will be assisting in the collection, segregation, and classification of different types of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) at HHW Collection Events. These events will strictly be held on Saturday's in the Spring and Summer.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Efficiently offload incoming household hazardous waste materials onto designated workstations or separation tables.
- Organize and categorize materials based on predetermined criteria to streamline the sorting process.
- Collaborate with our team of Chemists to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the sorting and separation process.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pursing a degree in environmental science, chemistry, or related field is preferred
- Ability to execute plans and follow standard operating procedures
- Familiarity with transportation equipment
- Willingness and ability to adapt job tasks to current conditions
- Willingness to attend OSHA training during beginning of tenure
