Job Description:
Zinda Law Group, a prestigious personal injury law firm is looking for a highly organized part-time Controller to join our team.
This role is based in our Austin, TX office (hybrid).
As the Controller at Zinda Law Group, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and strategy of the firm. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of financial management tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes. You will collaborate closely with department heads, attorneys, and administrative staff to support the firm's financial objectives while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. This role will also support our affiliated AI company (Zlayt) and may evolve into a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day company accounts
Assist with financial planning
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Own Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end Close and Reconciliation Process
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Maintain sound fiscal policy, effective financial controls, and institutional budgeting
Ensure government compliance in all tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years experience in the area
Experience managing a team/contractors
Proficiency with current financial software
Understanding of US GAAP
Capable of making decisions under stressful conditions
Working knowledge of all applicable Federal and State laws
Preference for CPA candidates
Preference for law firm experience
Pay Range: $75-125/hour
Estimated hours: 12-20
