Oracle DBA

Job Description:

As a key member of the KS2 delivery team, you'll be responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of our clients' Oracle and SQL Server environments. You will:

• Create and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
• Tune performance and ensure database high availability
• Design, develop, and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and indexing
• Manage database cloning, recovery, migrations, and upgrades
• Monitor and maintain database security, availability, and performance
• Write and peer-review SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL scripts and packages
• Develop and troubleshoot SSIS packages
• Proactively resolve incidents and support client environments
• Administer third-party applications that rely on Oracle and SQL Server
• Support ERP platforms like JD Edwards EnterpriseOne when applicable
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to long-term database strategy

We're Looking for Someone Who:

• Has 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience and 5+ years with Microsoft SQL Server
• Holds an active and current Oracle DBA certification
• Brings experience in high availability environments and disaster recovery planning
• Is fluent in performance tuning, indexing, and native monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix)
• Has hands-on experience with PowerShell, OS-level scripting, or JavaScript
• Is comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Oracle, Azure)
• Can navigate ERP applications (JD Edwards preferred)
• Is motivated, collaborative, and excels at multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Communicates clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
• Documents thoroughly and consistently
• Has consulting experience or thrives in a client-facing services environment

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Linux platforms
• Ability to manage technical projects from planning to delivery
• Previous consulting experience in professional services
