Summary:
The Ophthalmologist will offer specialty services under the Medical Director to patients in fast-paced health centers. The role requires board certification and an unrestricted California Physician and Surgeon license.
Requirements:
Credentials: Board certified in area of specialty., DEA license., Graduate from an accredited school of medicine., Must possess current unrestricted Physician and Surgeon license to practice in the State of California.
Experience: At least one year experience working with underserved, low-income persons or homeless persons preferred.
Job Description:
*Under the direction of the Medical Director offers and provides patients specialty services.
*Cooperates with the timely submission of credentialing and licensing paperwork .
*Minimizes incident reports.
*Uses resources efficiently and practices medicine in a cost-effective manner.
*Documents appropriately in the medical record: medication reconciliation and provider name stamp/print .
*Maintains CME units based on the requirements of the specifying Board if applicable .
*Maintains satisfactory peer reviews: able to assess medical information including pathophysiology, patient presentation, differential diagnosis etc… in order to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention.
*Participates in administrative duties: lab reports, charts and med refills reviewed and managed appropriately.
*Maintain a productivity expectation of 2.74 patients per hour .
*Meets clinic site and organization needs in a reliable and flexible manner .
*Prioritizes work and makes an effort to adhere to schedule.
