Job Description:
The Hennepin County Public Health Clinic is looking to hire a Nurse Practitioner. This position within the Red Door Clinic will provide sexual health care services including comprehensive HIV/sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment services, family planning, and HIV prevention services within a multidisciplinary team of medical providers. Our team consists of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, and community health specialists. This position provides the opportunity to make a difference in communities by advancing health equity and being part of a department with the mission to strengthen communities by improving the well-being of individuals and families by reducing health disparities.
The Public Health Clinic works to prevent and treat infectious diseases and is a respected leader in providing sexual health services, comprehensive testing and treatment for tuberculosis, and refugee health exams. The clinic has recently started to provide care for individuals with opioid use disorder as well. We are home to the Red Door Clinic, Minnesota’s largest HIV and sexually transmitted infection clinic. Location and hours:
This position is located at the Public Health Clinic at 525 Portland Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55415. This is a part-time position. Work hours will typically be 4 to 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and once the clinic resumes evening hours, one evening shift a week from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. will be required. No weekend, overnight, or holiday shifts are required. New employee orientation (NEO) for all new benefit-earning employees is in-person in downtown Minneapolis. Details about NEO will be provided upon hire.
