Grow your career as New Growth Development Manager – West within ALG Vacations. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for representing and selling Travel Impressions, Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, United Vacations, Southwest Vacations, Blue Sky Tours in your respective territory to the travel agency community. Your specific focus will be on lower producing accounts within the Coastal and Mountain States in the West. You'll develop and enhance strong agency relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships with the objective of growing incremental revenue and profitability. You will take a consultative selling approach with agencies and their Independent Contractors to identify share shift opportunities from our competition, leverage preferred relationships and execute engagement plans to grow incremental revenue. This role will take responsibility to find strategic ways to find and identify opportunity, overcome obstacles to secure business, and working closely with the Regional Director, taking direction where needed on alignment to growth strategies company wide. The NGD ability to finding and developing new accounts will be key to this role’s success.

Essential Functions:

  • ​​Develop strategic alliances with assigned lower producing agencies, and Independent Consultants.
  • ​​Leverage preferred relationships of Apple Leisure Group to gain commitment, incremental revenue growth with travel agencies.
  • ​​Utilize a consultative sales approach to match the needs of the agency with the product offering of Apple Leisure Group.
  • ​​Gain revenue commitments with travel agencies for the appropriate brand(s). Execute an implementation plan with agencies to realize committed revenue. Maintain engagement plans for all opportunity accounts.
  • ​​Create strategic ways to grow engagement and build trust in an effort to shift business to ALG Vacations.
  • ​​Increase and promote distribution through VAX advisor travel booking platform in line with established goals.
  • ​​Represent Apple Leisure Group at events where needed (and occasionally outside territory) to cultivate new business opportunities and gain new revenue commitments.
  • ​​Achieve sales targets by managing territory effectively and growing the accounts with the biggest opportunities.
  • Create brand loyalty through the use of key tools such as joint marketing plans, agency education, provide marketing tools to agents, product differentiation, and value proposition of booking brand. Document all sales activity in reporting tool.
  • ​​Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and provide feedback in reporting and in meetings.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values (included in all job descriptions).
  • Attend Weekly team calls with Director designed to make a strategic impact on growth and development of the team and accounts.
  • Work alongside Regional Director to ensure key messages are being communicated and shared with the accounts.
  • Attend roadmap calls with director weekly to focus on personal strategic development for future growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with degrees in business, marketing, communications or finance preferred.
  • Five or more years of related experience in sales or the travel industry.
  • Travel industry knowledge or experience preferred but will consider other candidates with transferable sales background.

  • ​​Ability to travel both domestically and internationally by plane and car – 20%
  • ​Data Analytics – must be able to understand reports and be able to interpret data to provide effective solutions.
  • ​Must have the ability to telecommute and be comfortable working independently.
  • ​Sales and customer service skills – necessary to be able to provide the best experience for advisors.

The salary range for this position is $56,200-65,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
