The Planner will develop and maintain production plans while ensuring inventory levels align with business goals. A Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in production planning are required.
Requirements:
Technology: Netsuite ERP System
Hard Skills: Strong understanding of MRP systems, inventory management, JIT concepts, Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Solid grasp of ERP/MRP inputs and outputs, Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Credentials: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or a related field.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support onboarding and training for new and existing Team members on the Netsuite ERP System
- Develop and maintain daily production schedules and shipment plans.
- Release work order packages based on demand signals such as sales orders.
- Proactively address material and component shortages; create requisitions as needed.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve order issues and expedite shipments.
- Set priorities on the shop floor to meet departmental objectives.
- Analyze customer demand regularly and identify any inconsistencies in supply plans.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and recommend adjustments.
- Participate in monthly planning meetings to update capacity and lead time estimates.
- Track Work in Process (WIP) and identify production bottlenecks.
- Monitor new orders for unusual or extraordinary demand.
- Maintain inventory levels in line with plant and factory targets.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, and shop personnel.
- Ensure planning data is accurate in the MRP system.
- Review machine capacity and identify potential production constraints.
- Develop capacity plans and contribute to monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
- Investigate past due orders to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives and moderate issue resolution.
