Job Description:
Overview
The Medical Scribe at People's Community Clinic plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters, maintaining medical records, and ensuring efficient clinical workflows. This position contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care by enabling healthcare providers to focus on patient interactions and clinical decision-making.
The hourly rate for this position is $15 hourly.
Responsibilities
- Accurate Documentation: Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits to capture and transcribe medical record documentation using electronic health record applications.
- EHR Proficiency: Navigate electronic health records to document provider notes, compile concise patient histories, record precise physical examinations, and capture treatment plans.
- Clerical Support: Undertake various clerical duties and tasks aimed at improving provider productivity and clinic workflow, as assigned.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance workflow, streamline work processes, and elevate patient care, collaborating effectively to implement these improvements.
- HIPAA Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and data security.
Qualifications
Education:
- Pursuing a degree in healthcare or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer skills and the use of electronic health record systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
