Job Summary
The Public Safety and Emergency Response teacher develops and conducts classes related to public safety and emergency response as outlined in the California CTE Standards.
Requirements / Qualifications
MATERIALS District Application Resume Letter of interest Transcripts Copy of Credential or program eligibility letter 3 letters of recommendation Must have a minimum of three (3) years full-time work experience in the applicable industry sector to provide secondary and/or post-secondary instruction in the established Career Pathway or Training Program.
* Three years of experience in the Public Safety and Emergency Response industry sector (5 years preferred) * Possession of a high school diploma or passage of an equivalency examination * Recommendation from a CTE program sponsor * Strong knowledge of Public Safety and Emergency Response * Experience as a mentor in youth programs (preferred) * Passionate about inspiring youth to serve their community through careers in public safety * Ability to organize and facilitate work-based learning partnerships with community and industry partners
