The Loan Processor is the primary contact for our customer during the mortgage fulfillment process and is responsible for delivering the highest level of customer care for every Cooper Customer! The Loan Processor ensures a high level of customer satisfaction by setting proper expectations, managing inbound and outbound customer communications within SLA’s, and resolving all customer concerns regarding their mortgage application through funding of the customer’s new loan.
- Analyze and resolve issues with loan verification documentation (such as title reports, homeowners’ insurance, property taxes, credit / pay histories, income, employment, and appraisal) to ensure compliance with all applicable program guidelines as well as federal and state regulations.
- Complete Loan Structuring activities to include re-disclosures, resolving compliance issues, prep for Underwriting, completion of Closing Disclosures and preparation of the file for loan closing.
- Managing inbound and outbound customer communications within SLA’s.
- Complete weekly pipeline reviews to ensure all assigned loans are progressing per schedule and to identify any issues / problems that need to be escalated for timely resolution. provide status updates, address concerns/ questions / issues and determine specific actions needed to improve overall cycle times & Customer Satisfaction.
- Resolving all customer concerns regarding their mortgage application through funding of the customer’s new loan.
- Proficiency in basic skills and functions of career path.
- Work on a variety of broader scope work assignments typically requiring independent judgment and the exercise of discretion.
- Work with department deadlines.
- Deal with complaints and conflict resolutions in a professional and decisive manner.
- Effectively manage time, priorities and resources to achieve goals.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.
- Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
- Previous experience in mortgage processing, banking, or a related field is often required.
- Proficiency in mortgage processing software and customer management systems.
- Ability to analyze financial documents and credit reports.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
