Position Overview
Kiewit Energy Group Inc. is seeking a passionate and motivated Library Intern. We are looking for ideal candidates to grow the Kiewit team by helping to establish, maintain, and improve our library infrastructure and access tools. Candidates shall be familiar with principles, standards, tools and current systems relating to organization of information and retrieval. Candidates shall be capable of exhibiting flexibility in work assignments while maintaining a growth mindset and continuing to develop in their technical and professional career.

Responsibilities
Duties may vary based on the candidate’s education, interests, and experience, but could include:
• Engage in selecting and organizing relevant resources to meet the informational requirements of our organization across multiple engineering and construction markets.
• Conduct research and acquire engineering standards, codes, rules, or other materials related to the techniques and conditions for engineering design and industrial practices.
• Develop instructional resources and materials to educate employees on effectively utilizing available information resources.
• Work closely with the Librarian to develop the library infrastructure, organize databases, and ensure easy access to information.
• Assess current library procedures to identify opportunities for streamlining processes and suggest effective solutions.
Qualifications
• Pursuing a degree in Library Science, Information Science, Communications, or a related field.
• Interest in information organization, digital literacy, online learning, and research.
• Some experience with information management preferred (LMS, DAM, CMS, databases, or cloud storage systems)
• Some experience with library databases, online catalogs, and other digital library tools.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
