Job Description:
ActioNet has an opportunity for a Lead Test Engineer requiring a Public Trust clearance in the Washington D.C. metro area. The right candidate will work well with a team, exhibit excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated, and seek ways to improve the environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a test strategy and test plan to achieve test objectives and requirements.
- Manage the resources necessary to accomplish all phases of a test event, planning, execution, analysis and reporting.
- Delegate and direct successful execution of a test event in accordance with the test plan and within the required time constraints.
- Use the risk management process to manage risks associated with test planning and issues encountered during test execution.
- Resolve programmatic and technical conflicts that arise during the conduct of the event.
- Present test results in a clear, concise report that gives the customer meaningful information regarding the system's ability to meet the test objectives and requirements.
- Brief test design plans and test results to test team.
- Develop test cases/test procedures that trace to test requirements and objectives.
- Develop operational mission-based scenarios to support test events.
- Work in a team environment to ensure that customers, management, and test participants are properly updated on test event progress and on specific technical or programmatic issues that require their attention.
- Track system issues using configuration management software such as JIRA, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field.
- Five years of quality assurance or testing experience.
- Project management experience.
- Configuration management experience.
- Knowledge on test support tools such as M&S tools, data collection tools, data analysis tools, test automation tools, and network analyzers.
- Testing concepts/methodologies (Scenario, Negative, Regression, RTM).
Desired Position Qualifications:
- International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB)/CSTP-X.
- Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST).
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
