Purpose
To provide administration, maintenance, training, and support for AutoCAD Civil 3D and other Bowman provided software tools to ensure efficient and effective usage across their assigned region.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
- Perform work under very limited supervision requiring the need to exercise independent judgement and discretion on a regular or frequent basis. Create and build upon relationships with other design software staff and local office staff.
At the Operational and Company Level
- Work closely with IT staff members, engineers, surveyors, drafters, technicians, and project teams to ensure seamless integration and usage of design software.
Do the Work
- Administer, configure, maintain, and support engineering software tools, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley Microstation, Revit, BIM360, and other industry-specific applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, providing technical support to users.
- Manage, train, and provide guidance to local design software administrators.
- Coordinate and communicate training and upskilling needs with learning and development
- Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and best practices for design software usage within the organization.
- Implement and enforce organization-wide standards and protocols for design software usage to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand their software requirements, customizing tools and configurations to meet their needs.
- Communicate with project managers and team leads to ensure design software meets project-specific requirements and deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and new features and functionality in design software tools to maintain a competitive edge.
- Evaluate user feedback and satisfaction to continuously improve the design software support and administration process.
- Proactively identify potential software conflicts or incompatibilities and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to improve software proficiency among users.
- Monitor software performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and process improvement.
- Evaluate and recommend new software tools and technologies to enhance design capabilities and streamline workflows.

Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Information Technology, or experience in related field required.
