Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead WebSphere/HCL Digital Experience Portal Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/JEE, Spring MVC, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript, Hibernate, and SQL Server. This role requires a professional who can lead projects, mentor junior developers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of WebSphere Portal Solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable solutions using Java and Spring MVC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Develop portlets, themes, skins, and WebSphere Portal configurations to enhance user experience.
- Implement responsive and dynamic UI designs using Bootstrap, jQuery, CSS, and JavaScript
- Optimize performance, security, and scalability of portal applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve WebSphere Portal issues, maintaining high availability and reliability
- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and support.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to RSI’s best practices.
- Provide production support across multiple engagements, ensuring seamless operations as well as support new development initiatives, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Java/JEE technologies
- Proficiency in Java 8 or higher
- Strong knowledge of Spring MVC framework, IBM Web Content Manager (WCM), and Portlet development (JSR 168/286).
- Expertise in Front End Development using HTML, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery and Ajax
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring MVC.
- Solid Experience in RESTful and SOAP-based web services
- Experience with Hibernate and SQL Server.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools.
- Experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server, LDAP, and Single Sign-On (SSO) with OIDC and SAML based solutions
- Experience with Java build tools such as Maven, Gradle.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience applying the SDLC in a project setting
- Thorough understanding of object-oriented design principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

RSI determines pay range based upon numerous compensation factors, including experience, skill set, and geographic location. A current and reasonable estimated range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. However, it’s possible for an individual to be hired at a salary outside of this range.
