Responsibilities
The Capture Services team is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen the resiliency of our data solutions and support modernization efforts. We are looking for highly motivated and adaptable individuals who are passionate about creating robust data solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Aquarius Teams and Business Partners to efficiently capture incoming documents, classify them, route them, and ensure their secure storage.
A Day in the Life of the Capture Services Team
As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting server vulnerability patching, executing software upgrades, and implementing proactive monitoring and alerting systems. You will adopt a growth mindset, focusing on iterative delivery through automation and scalability, while leveraging tools like Splunk for traffic monitoring and downtime analysis. Your innovative spirit will be essential as you explore new methods for intelligent routing and provide insights as data is processed and routed downstream. You will be an integral part of a small product team, committed to delivering stories and demonstrating progress to stakeholders for valuable feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Self-motivated with a commitment to completing assigned tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical issues
- Ability to work independently to design, develop, implement, test, and support products for various business areas, whether creating new applications/tools or modifying existing ones to meet technical specifications or business needs
- Deliver on commitments and adhere to agreed-upon timelines, ensuring high-quality and complete work products
- Understand how technology solutions align with business objectives
- Embrace a DevOps mindset, taking accountability for the product from inception through to sunset
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows Server Operating System
- Strong experience with Active Directory
- Knowledge of AWS and Terraform
- Familiarity with GitLab, Git, and Co-Pilot
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficient in Splunk/Dynatrace
- Understanding of CI/CD practices
- Experience with ServiceNow
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages, including C#, ASP.NET, Java, PowerShell, Python, HTML, JavaScript, Node.js, and SQL
- Strong critical thinking skills to challenge existing paradigms and apply the right technologies to solve complex problems
- Experience in performance, scalability, and resiliency engineering
- A growth mindset with a keen interest in emerging AI technologies
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments characterized by ambiguity and uncertainty

Our Benefits
Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!
- Potential starting salary range: $85,500 - $175,500
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
