Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision, this position will ensure conformity of all computer-based and electronic test devices to all applicable security and compliance requirements by providing solutions aligned with business needs. This includes managing the testing and rollout of all required cyber security updates, documenting and providing mitigation strategies for identified threats, and verifying the effectiveness of security controls for identified risk mitigation.
Additionally, this position will work directly with IT to test, modify, and rollout OS versions, software updates, and other relevant changes to ensure all test devices operate as designed, ensuring all relevant diagnostic testing software is operational and any required updates or other required software are installed as needed.
Essential Functions:
Document identified threats and provide corresponding mitigation strategies.
Evaluate technologies and solutions to enhance security capabilities.
Provide solutions aligned with business needs, considering security and compliance requirements.
Verify the effectiveness of security controls in mitigating identified risks.
Develop strategies with internal and external partners to ensure conformity to applicable security and compliance requirements that align with business needs.
Utilize scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.) as well as NISP programming language to manage, diagnose, and update diagnostic test devices as needed.
Participate in internal and external software reviews to ensure all security and compliance requirements are met and any required software or updates are rolled out in accordance with diagnostic testing software requirements.
Evaluate mitigation strategies to ensure efficiency of diagnostic testing devices is maintained.
In coordination with IT and global partners, manage diagnostic testing device operating system images and updates, ensuring compatibility with NISP testing software, maintenance requirements, and Assembly processes.
Oversee testing and rollout of all required software for diagnostic testing devices.
Work with IT to validate and rollout on any other relevant changes to diagnostic testing devices, including, but not limited to network, group policy, etc.
Always maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Follow Standard Methods and Procedures for repetitive duties.
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws.
Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.
Must be able to work rotational shifts and subsequent overtime as needed.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.
Education:
This position requires an Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Information Technology or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Relevant professional experience in areas like Engineering or System Administration in an automotive manufacturing environment
Necessary Skills:
Strong knowledge of information security principles, security architectures, frameworks, standards, and emerging threats, with the ability to implement effective mitigation strategies.
Capability of learning new technologies quickly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and explain complex security concepts in an easily understandable manner.
Solid attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience managing or deploying devices in a managed environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially regarding technical information.
Ability to prioritize many tasks based on production and management demands.
Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Skills: Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
Experience working in an automotive manufacturing maintenance or electrical testing environment.
Experience imaging and deploying PCs using SCCM and WinPE tools.
Prior knowledge of C++, Powershell, or other programming/scripting languages.
