Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Technician to join our team. The Inventory Technician will be responsible for helping to managing inventory levels, stocking par locations, performing inventory audits, tracking par levels of materials and products, and ensuring accurate inventory records. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our supply chain and inventory locations to support the delivery of care to our patients. This role requires an understanding of urgency in delivery of items directly to the units, including Operating Rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, label, and store incoming inventory in designated locations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
- Track and record inventory movements using inventory management systems.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
- Ensure inventory areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with Materials/Inventory Coordinator and Senior Inventory Technician, purchasing and shipping teams to reconcile stock levels.
- Identify and report damaged or expired stock.
- Delivering items from Inventory Locations to Par Locations and directly to units within the ASC.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all inventory transactions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (Workday, GHX, Lawson, OnBase).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, and inventory software).
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with barcode and scanning systems.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Environment:
- Ambulatory Surgery Center facility environment.
- May require occasional weekend or evening shifts, depending on business needs.
