What will you do as an Independent Contractor – Therapist?
- As an Independent Contractor – Therapist in the Outpatient Mental Health Department (OPMH), you will provide assessment, counseling, care coordination, and facilitate effective therapeutic interventions built on strong therapeutic relationships with your assigned clients. Your responsibilities also include conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, maintaining documentation that meets internal and external standards, and collaborating with other providers and community partners to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care.
- A typical day as an Independent Contractor – Therapist (as per your schedule) includes scheduled therapy sessions and/or comprehensive clinical assessments. You are expected to manage your time independently while meeting documentation and productivity expectations. This position allows flexibility in scheduling and includes a mixture of in-office work at the Family Service Center – Wendover and virtual service delivery options. While contractors set their own schedules, some availability for late afternoons or evenings is preferred to meet client needs.
What does this position offer?
- Starting Pay Rate: $100 for completed comprehensive clinical assessments; 60/40 split if engaging in therapy with youth and families working with Thompson.
