Health Information Management Technician (HIM) - Part-Time Weekdays
This position will cover the Corpus Christi Bayfront & North Hospital locations.
**Ideal candidates should hold a current certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or AHIMA certification and possess a minimum of one year of experience in the healthcare field, preferably within an acute, hospital-based environment. Proficiency in medical terminology, coding, health information systems, and electronic health record (EHR) systems, as well as familiarity with various health information software and data analysis and reporting tools, is essential. Attention to detail is imperative for accurate documentation, along with a strong commitment to patient privacy and ethical standards. Will substitute certifications for applicants with a robust background in hospital-based Health Information Management.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Health Information Management (“HIM”) Technician include, but are not limited to: inpatient assembly, analysis and admissions processing (including sorting, proofing and error identification of all reports) in support of the Health Information Management function. The HIM Technician also provides telephone back-up as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Training: High School diploma or its equivalent with specialized training in an approved business, secretarial school or college. Prefer specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program.
Experience: Previous medical record experience in healthcare setting preferred.
