Job Description:

The Role

We’re looking for a seasoned legal leader to build and lead our global Legal function. Reporting directly to the CEO and joining the Executive Leadership Team, you will define and execute legal strategy across jurisdictions, ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risk, and enabling sustainable, high-impact growth.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the legal foundation of a product-led, mission-driven tech company with global reach. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in US and EU D2C regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, privacy, IP, and legal team leadership within fast-paced, high-growth environments.

What You'll Do:

  • Own Legal Strategy: Define and execute a global legal vision aligned with business goals.
  • Drive Compliance & Risk: Lead risk management and ensure multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance.
  • Corporate Governance: Oversee corporate governance, transactions, and global entity management.
  • IP & Platforms: Protect IP and ensure compliance with platform policies (Meta, Apple, Google), in partnership with Product and Marketing.
  • Privacy: Collaborate cross-functionally to safeguard data and lead our Privacy Program.
  • Product Compliance: Embed consumer and regulatory compliance into product and marketing strategies.
  • Litigation Management: Handle disputes, investigations, and external counsel relationships.
  • Contract Management: Own Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) in partnership with Procurement.
  • Finance & HR: Support audits, tax strategy, compensation, and global workforce compliance.
  • Payments: Ensure regulatory oversight of payment systems and data use.
  • Training and Education: Provide legal and compliance training to company staff.

About You:

  • 10+ years of legal experience, including senior roles in consumer tech and both law firm and in-house settings.
  • Proven ability to build scalable legal processes and drive global cross-functional impact.
  • Strong communicator with a practical, business-first approach to complex legal issues.
  • Ethical, decisive, and trusted by stakeholders at all levels, including executive and board.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
